enStratus delivers a rich cloud abstraction layer to help you manage your public and private clouds. You connect your application into enStratus, we handle the integration to the various cloud provider APIs.

The underlying architecture that makes this possible features a cloud abstraction layer that separates an individual application deployment from the details of a particular cloud API. This framework provides a consistent, superset interface for the different cloud capabilities. We expose the different elements and capabilities as they are released by the underlying cloud service provider.

The cloud-independent interfaces for enabling an application to access resources across multiple clouds are specified at Dasein Cloud API.

By combining today's cloud infrastructure with enStratus you can deliver a highly flexible, cost effective and redundant framework for different Business Continuity Planning requirements.

Example use cases include:

• Using AWS as the production environment, we would automatically balance a high availability architecture across the different zones within a region, and support DR into another region or into another cloud such as Rackspace or Azure.
• Running your operations in your own data center and leveraging a cloud provider purely for DR.
• Running your operations in a regional cloud, such as Swiss-based CloudSigma, but taking advantage of a global provider such as AWS for your DR and risk mitigation.
