Besides our HQ in downtown Minneapolis, we have offices in Auckland, New Zealand and planned offices in Silicon Valley and Europe. Candidates must be willing to visit the Twin Cities for training and culture immersion... after that, remote work is an option.

Data Scientist
We are looking for a talented and versatile Data Scientist to help us wrangle masses of data into manageable packages to tell stories and help us understand how our customers are using our products. As a member of our development team, you will have the following key responsibilities:

• Oversee data gathering of cloud behavior and applications operations in a cloud computing company
• Aggregation of data across clouds
• Visualization of data for predictive behavior
• Research into data tools – gathering and visualization
• Analysis and packaging of data into data products

In terms of qualifications, we are looking for developers with relevant experience and the right attitude rather than a particular degree qualification – we seek people who are eager to learn, proactive, ambitious, and play well with others. Our ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

Cloud System Administrator
We are looking for talented and versatile Cloud System Administrators to join us in expanding the security, reliability and “confidence in the cloud” for our clients. As a member of our development team, you will have the following key responsibilities and possess the following attributes:

• Remote Windows and Linux server administration
• Deployment of applications into the enStratus secure environments
• Development of shell scripts (both Unix and Windows)
• Cluster management
• Proper server restart in a clustered environment
• Experience with Microsoft PowerShell
• Scripting using Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.
• Excellent customer service skills, highly responsive to customer requests
• Familiarity with windows server IIS/SQL server and .NET frameworks
• At least 2 years working experience as a systems administrator
• Some Microsoft experience maintaining java app servers and MySQL
• Desire to learn how to write java code
• Proven track record of intelligent decision-making

Java Developer
The Java Developer role will not be boring. We wear a lot of hats here, and this role is no exception. In addition to what you would expect (developing Java code to contribute to our platform) you will be learning how to be an expert in cloud architecture, learning DevOps concepts (Chef/Puppet/etc.) and contributing to a variety of open source projects.

• Maintain, update, and extend core software using Java/J2EE and JSP/JSTL
• Work with clients and other developers to design, code, test, document, and debug web based applications
• Support and maintain existing applications
• Perform database optimization, normalization, and administration (primarily MySQL and SQL Server)
• Set up and maintain web services and environments on UNIX based platforms
• Experience with Open Source libraries, Dasein and jclouds in particular
• 2-4 years working experience in Java/J2EE
• 2-4 years experience with relational databases and SQL
• Experience with database persistence frameworks
• Knowledge of and experience with at least four of the following: Tomcat, SOAP, REST, Apache HTTP Server, Solaris/Unix, AJAX, XML, HTML, CSS

Quality Assurance
In terms of qualifications, we are looking for developers with relevant experience and the right attitude rather than a particular skill set or degree qualification. Our ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities and skills:

• Work with clients, partners and other developers to test, document, and help debug web based applications
• Perform browser compatibility, systems integration, regression, and end-user testing
• Manage support tickets, bugs, features, and enhancement requests within our online ticketing system
• Document requirements, test cases, and risk mitigation plans
• Maintain an accurate test matrix showing the completeness of system testing
• Participate in scoping features and bug fixes for monthly releases
• Partner with local and remote developers to resolve issues
• Train and mentor new QA hires
• 2-4 years working experience with QA best practices, testing methodologies, and bug tracking tools
• Automated testing experience
• Ability to self-start (motivated), self-manage (driven), meet deadlines (detail oriented), and learn from mistakes (intelligent)

Inside Sales Representative
Reporting to the VP of Sales and Marketing, the Inside Sales Representative will help qualify and move leads through the sales cycle. This role will be responsible to handle initial prospect inquiries and schedule meetings with prospects primarily through phone outreach, web meetings and email communications. Key Responsibilities:

• Qualify incoming leads via the phone, email or online meetings.
• Identify target prospects and generate interest through cold-calling.
• Track progress of each prospect and report to Sales/Marketing leadership and update the CRM system
• 4 years of inside sales experience in the technology industry, focused on lead generation or telemarketing
• Proven success of driving interest and qualifying prospects.
• Ability to quickly understand complex technology solutions and deliver a clear value proposition
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a self-directed, fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities at once

Interactive Developer
We are looking for an Interactive Developer to build and enhance powerful features for a wide variety of platforms and devices. You will work closely with the product management team to translate complex business and technical requirements into intuitive and enjoyable experiences for our clients.

• Create and continuously improve web based applications using JavaScript/jQuery, JSP/JSTL, XHTML, and CSS
• Collaborate with product team to design and implement new features and enhancements in an agile environment
• Translate complex requirements into intuitive, enjoyable experiences for our users
• Write elegant, scalable and optimized code with progressive enhancement principals in mind
• Create effective and consistent experiences across a wide range of platforms - tablet, smart phone, desktop, native device app
• Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices
• Provide mentoring for junior developers
• 3+ years as an Interactive Developer or similar

Content Strategist
We are looking for a Content Strategist to deliver and manage a clear, useful and consistent voice throughout our applications, technical documentation and marketing web site, across a wide variety of international languages.

• Orchestrate a clear, useful and consistent voice throughout many channels of communication, including contextual help and messaging for highly technical applications, documentation portals, and a marketing web site
• Write succinct and useful content
• Provide guidelines and editing to authors of highly technical documentation
• Ensure that all communication is translated effectively into a wide variety of languages and across a wide range of platforms and devices - tablet, smart phone, desktop, native device app
• Acquire a deep familiarity with our product as well as the cloud computing industry as a whole
• 3+ years as a Content Strategist or writing for the web

User Experience Designer
We are looking for a User Experience Designer to be an empathetic, informed advocate for the users of our applications. You will work closely with the product management team to translate complex business and technical requirements into intuitive and enjoyable experiences for our clients.

• Be a champion for our users, from true beginners to advanced, while working with stakeholders to meet business and technical goals
• Create effective and consistent experiences across a wide range of platforms - tablet, smart phone, desktop, native device app
• Employ whatever technique is effective for a situation, be it workflows, wireframes, user stories, user interaction models, user testing, or information architecture, UI specifications, or creative design
• Build on and improve a design library of effective interaction patterns
• Exhibit the ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive, easy to learn, enjoyable experiences
